The Wyoming e-academy of Virtual Education (WeAVE) is an online high school located in the US state of Wyoming.

Established in 2002, it targets education for students of Native American ancestry. In 2008, 135 students were enrolled, of which 84% were Native American and 30% were full time.

WeAVE is operated by Fort Washakie High School, a traditional high school. Other - but not all - Wyoming school districts partner with WeAVE to offer online classes to their students. Students must attend school in a Wyoming district that has a signed MOU in place. WeAVE students remain full time students at their local high school; either in Fort Washakie or another Wyoming high school. However some are also considered full-time online students with WeAVE.

The WeAVE web site is at http://www.fortwashakieschool.com/fwhs/

More Details

FWHS is a public charter school operated by Fremont County School District #21. Online students of WeAVE use the same content and materials as in any FWHS face-to-face course.

FWHS does not charge the resident school district a tuition fee. However, if students drop a class without finishing within a calendar year (365 days), it will charge the district a $500 drop fee.
