Indiana is a state in the midwest of the United States. It borders Michigan to the north, Ohio to the east, Illinois to the west and the Ohio River and Kentucky to the south.
The population of Indiana is 6.4 million as of 2010. The state capital and largest city is Indianapolis. Indiana is known as the Hoosier State.
