Wojciech Zielinski

Wojciech Zielinski is a Pro Vice Chancellor for Information Systems (CIO) at The Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz (AHE) – one of the biggest private higher education institutions in Poland. He is responsible for implementation of information technology at the academy and e-learning is one of the most important projects in this filed.

Mr. Zielinski is a co-author and a co-organizer of Polish Virtual University (PVU) – the biggest e-learning project in Polish higher education system initiated at the beginning of the year 2002. He created and manages the team of highly specialized professionals who support the AHE in methodology of online teaching, e-courses development, e-learning technological platform as well as all administration issues concerning learning on the Internet. Having the team, the AHE is able to provide full on-line studies and more than a hundred e-learning courses, which support traditional learning or are offered as separate courses available on the Internet. For the last 4 years more then 4,500 students have used at least one e-course on the PVU platform.

Mr. Zielinski main field of interest is the value of information technology in higher education. He is an author and co-author of many articles and conference presentations concerning these issues with a particular focus on e-learning.
