Sarah Frame joined the University of East London in January 2007 as Head of School of Distance and E-Learning. Formerly she was at ICS, then a subsidiary of the Thomson Corporation, as Business and Academic Development Director, where she gained extensive expertise in the development, marketing and selling of distance learning courses, and in supporting the particular needs of distance learning students.
She has recently been appointed Chair of the Open Learning Foundation.
