Petra Boezerooy is a research associate at the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) at the University of Twente (the Netherlands). At the time of writing her reports on virtual universities, Petra was involved in various (mainly comparative) projects concerning the use of ICT and distance education in different countries. She was also involved in evaluating the activities of the Dutch Digital University (under a contract from them), and in organising study trips to the UK, Australia and the USA regarding the use of information and communication in higher education (projects commissioned by the SURF Foundation).
Currently Petra continues her work as a research associate at CHEPS, where she started work on her PhD project in 2003.
