Had a sabbatical year during which he made a study on the use of ICT in education and performed several interim and consultancy assignments.
As of August 1999 he is the Platform Manager of ICT and Education of the SURF Foundation in the Netherlands.
He is also a member of the Re.ViCa International Advisory Committee (IAC)
