The Global Open University of Zambia (TGOU) is based in Lusaka, Zambia. It is a private, self-governing, not-for-profit entity which seeks to provide educational opportunities for all people of Zambia. Established in 2005, it is still in the process of launching many of its proposed courses, though it intends to provide a wide range of part-time, full-time and distance-learning programmes at Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral levels. Among its target learners are adults who are not able to participate in face-to-face education opportunities.
