	Created by the West Virginia Legislature on July 1, 2000, the mission of the Virtual School is to assure consistent, high quality education for the students of West Virginia. 	Supplemental ~~student~~ may use the school to take courses online that are not offered in their local schools. The WV Virtual School is not a diploma-granting institution; students are enrolled in, and graduated from, their local schools.
