== Summary ==

The PBP-VC project has the following objectives:

# To identify previous and ongoing projects, actions, and research relevant to virtual campuses, and to perform a systematic critical analysis of this work. The specific focus of this project will be on the adoption of new models of teaching and learning to determine the extent to which they have contributed to a flexible and inclusive European education system.
# To map the conceptual landscape of virtual campuses and define the concepts and underlying issues, particularly those relating to the adoption of new models of teaching and learning from the perspective of different stakeholders.
# To develop a practical framework based on critical success factors to guide the step-by-step process of developing new models of teaching and learning through virtual campuses and to map existing and planned European programmes, activities and projects onto this framework.
# To develop case studies and use case scenarios using the framework that highlight best practice of how new models of teaching and learning can contribute to a more flexible and inclusive European education system.
# To widely disseminate the results of the project across Europe to a variety of stakeholders (including policy makers, funding bodies, senior management, programme leaders, teachers, researchers, support staff, and learners.
# To help institutions and other key stakeholders understand how to strategically deploy virtual campuses to bring about a more flexible and inclusive education and institutional transformation.
