The Authority is an agency of the [[Department of Education and Science]] and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. It has responsibility for developing and maintaining the National Framework of Qualifications. <br />

The Authority will lead a cultural change, in partnership with stakeholders, with the aim of achieving:<br />
