The National Open University (NOU),established in 1986, is the first university in Taiwan to use a variety of media for its main reaching and learning activities. The University provides opportunities for adult continuing education and lifelong learning through multiple media channels including internet, TV, radio. CD and VCD.The university also provides face-to-face instruction at least four times within a semester. Learners can access the NOU's e-Learning course content by "video/audio on demand" and "e-learning platform" from the NOU's website.
