	The ''ASEAN Virtual University'' was established by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) in 1997-1998, designed to help ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asia Nations) member countries transfer a sense of 'regional awareness' and identity to students. A single shared curriculum was developed to provide information about ASEAN societies, economies and politics; its syllabus is available on the ASEAN Virtual University site. Development of the Virtual University was led by De La Salle University in the Philippines.
